Art2Part Gallery Windows:  
  • Retro factory look.
  • The new aluminum window panels are comprised of a single section of insulated glass with mullion inserts.
  • Main window panels to be three (3) panes high by four (4) panes wide.
  • The original panes are unconventionally wider than higher.  Further, the original design conjures images of jail
    cell bars, keeping viewers from looking in; the retro factory look windows show off the interior space better and
    are more inviting.
  • The 5’ 1 ½”W x 8’ 3”H east window facing the parking lot, currently blocked with CMUs, will be standardized to
    a 5’ 1 ½”W x 5’ 7”H window unit in harmony with the other windows on that wall.

Window Specifications for 10,000 s.f. Main Building:
  • Building walls are of concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction, 12” thick (concrete blocks)
  • Original windows facing Delmar Blvd measure 5’ 2”H x 4’ 4”W inside, 5’ 3”H x 4’ 4 ¾” W outside (with ½”
    outside lip).  A 2” spacer strip joined sections
  • See drawings (below) for windows with screened opening panels (awning style)
  • Color is black
  • Windows need UV protection.  “Natural light is an extremely intense source of energy and contains high levels
    of ultra-violet (UV) radiation. Most artworks are composed of organic materials making them especially
    vulnerable to UV wavelengths, the most damaging component of the light spectrum.”  (Source:  http://www.
