Phillips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;<\/strong><em>The mirrored scrim of an historic brick fa\u00e7ade invites reflection on the past glory of an abandoned of urban center and its role in present redevelopment. The context changes as the work is installed in different locales. The images shift and fragment with movement of the scrim: the reflection becomes foreground to the surrounding structures. \u00a0It invites the viewer to reconsider the urban landscape: how we shape our cities? how they shape us.<\/em>&#8221; \u00a0M. Phillips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/art2part.biz\/Gallery\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Reflecting_Place_No_4_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-121\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A Sneak Peak Behind the Scenes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The artist&#8217;s latest installation features a reflective building fa\u00e7ade comprised of brick sized mirrored tiles. Fastened to a transparent screen, the mirrored bricks are reminiscent of the memory of the building that once stood on the now vacant lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/art2part.biz\/Gallery\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Bill_Carr_Molly_Phillips_Install_Reflecting_Place_4-Delmar.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-123\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Artist M.
